Shane Van Boening made his mark at the top of the table on day three of Premier League Pool, live from US 1 Billiards, West Haven, Connecticut on Matchroom.live, DAZN in the United States and networks around the world. The four-time US Open champion would stand alone in first place in the league table after winning all three of his matches for the second consecutive day. Having beaten Jayson Shaw, fellow American Skyler Woodward, and Spanish Open champion Dang Jin Hu on Tuesday, the South Dakota Kid was fancied to continue clawing his way up the league table on day three. Two-time world champion Albin Ouschan was first to face him on Table 2, live on the Matchroom Multi Sport YouTube channel, with the American hero making lightwork of the Austrian in six racks. 19-year-old Bernie Regalario, competing in his first-ever tournament on American soil, was powerless to prevent a 5-2 defeat to Van Boening. Defending champion and world no.1 Francisco Sanchez Ruiz closed play on Table 1 in a battle of world champions. The Spaniard, fresh off a hill-hill win over countryman David Alcaide, couldn’t find stroke as Van Boening won 5-2 in the final match of the night for a tournament record of eight wins, one defeat. Poland’s Wiktor Zielinski, who topped the table on day one with three victories, continued his fine form with two strong hill-hill wins - Tuesday’s MVP Joshua Filler and Mario He, the victims of the ruthless Pole’s aggression. Filler would also pick up two extra points across the day through Ko Pin Yi and Jayson Shaw, climbing above Zielinski in the table by a +4 rack difference. US Open champion Ko Ping Chung held a 3-0 record on day three in defeating Zielinski, He, and Alcaide. The Chinese Taipei star is joined on six points by brother Pin Yi, the World Pool Master, who completed a 5-1 dominant display against Jayson Shaw. Skyler Woodward continued the trend of invisible days with three wins from three, claiming the scalps of Asian trio Ko Pin Yi, Michael Feliciano and Nguyen Anh Tuan, firmly solidifying the prospect of a space in the top 10 alongside Mosconi Cup partner Fedor Gorst on six points. Regalario continues to impress as the competition deepens. In beating David Alcaide, L’il Prince added to his portfolio of reigning Mosconi Cup victims. Alcaide, who stepped in as a last-minute replacement for  Niels Feijen, has everything to do across the last two days of the first round, with an unwanted record of 0-9.
