A new champion is set to emerge in the Vietnamese capital as Moritz Neuhausen, Robbie Capito, Harry Vergara, and Pijus Labutis all booked their places in the semi-finals of the 2025 Hanoi Open Pool Championship after another thrilling day of world-class nineball action.

Day three delivered major upsets in the Vietnamese capital as defending champion Johann Chua and World No.1 Fedor Gorst both suffered shock exits, while World Champion Carlo Biado, Aloysius Yapp, and Jayson Shaw powered through to the Last 16.

Defending champion Johann Chua continued his title defence with a crucial victory on day two, joining World No.1 Fedor Gorst, World Champion Carlo Biado, former Hanoi Open winner Jayson Shaw, and Vietnam’s own Duong Quoc Hoang in securing their places in the Last 64.

The 2025 Hanoi Open Pool Championship is set to commence tomorrow at the Vietnam National Sports Complex, following a pre-event media day featuring many of the world’s top players.
